New York woman faces 25 years in prison over felony weapons charges — after police find cache of fake guns in her home
A New York woman is facing weapons charges after the NYPD stormed her home and seized at least 22 guns from her apartment.
According to various reporting, members of the NYPD raided Elizaveta Zlatkis' home in 2019 and discovered the weaponry. A later investigation found that 21 of the 22 firearms were not real.
Gotta admit I’m torn on this. The charges are probably bullshit, and if it goes through, the precedent is terrible. On the other hand, she was involved in rap videos (cultural poison) and what with the demographics of Forest Hills, this may be a case of “good to see one of you being held to account by the bullshit laws you’ve imposed on the rest of us.”
Bottom line I’m hoping that somehow both sides can lose.
I am ever so thankful I left NY in 1978 and never looked back. Not that where I am is all that much better, seeing we have queen Wretched Witless running things.
My last experience (hopefully ever) in NYC was last year. Going thru security to get on a cruise, I had left a loaded pistol mag (no pistol) in my carry-on bag. 45 minutes with CBP, then another hour and 45 with the NYPD nitwits (SEVEN of them). Ended up with a summons, liable for $1000 and up to a year in jail. The attorney cost more than the cruise, but he got it expunged. I will NEVER go back to that f'in rathole.
Completely innocent of all charges, but the NYPD will make shit up to cover the egg all over their faces on this. It's all bullshit.
