Filmed for the BBC Arena Rhythms of the World series on the band's UK tour on 16th October 1988, also includes interviews with Robert talking about his influences etc.
Robert Cray spent some time in the Pacific Northwest. He has stories to tell about being a black man, with a giant Afro, walking down backwoods roads between lumber towns to get to the next gig. Pretty funny dude.
Robert was nice enough to sign a cigar box guitar that was auctioned off for charity here in Bowling Green. He stuck one of his guitar picks in the strings as well. Nice guy
Saw him last year, right at the start of the plan-demic. Still a favorite jukebox pick.
ReplyDeleteI watched and met Cray and his band when they were still doing bar hops. What a great bunch of musicians.
