Damn, there really is such a thing as Facebook Police

WEST PALM BEACH, Florida -- Will police ever show up at your door for what you post on social media?

The answer is yes, as a South Florida woman has posted video of a late-night visit to her home Friday by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, warning her about a Facebook comment she made concerning masks.

  1. Thats just the start. Here in the UK there are close to two thousand people a year interviewed and in many cases arrested & charged for comments made on line by the wrong think police.
You still have the first amendment so fight back while you can.

  2. I'm thinking as the police turn away from addressing serious crime in favor of responding to these "civil" torts, that some nefarious citizens will use that tendency to set up ambushes on unwary officers, drawing them to these Karen calls. This new focus on non criminal policing unintentionally puts officers in danger.

  3. I am in the final stages of a State Police investigation initiated by an SJW that was "frightened" by posts I had written on a former blog. How the hell they even found my blog is a mystery, since the readership of the last almost 6 years was statistically zero, and it was impossible to find unless you knew the exact name of the blog. The last part of the investigation is a formality, as they have already determined I am truly not a danger to anyone (except to Commies that is). The complainant made inaccurate conclusions about what I wrote and unfortunately the state police had to act on them. I gotta figure at some point, they will tire of chasing phantoms and boogeymen.

    1. So long as those phantoms and boogeymen justify bigger budgets, they'll happily (as a department, at least, if not necessarily individually) chase after them.

    2. They will tire of that chase about the same time that they volunteer to remove their hooks from YOUR paycheck.

  4. And tomorrow the average WND reader will be spouting about "Back the Blue" and "Just follow orders".

  5. Orks are not your friends. They are beholding to the .gov not the people. Interact with orks at your own risk. Orks are on the AVOID LIST. Post a no trespassing sign on your property, unless the Orks have a warrant they are trespassing, but you must post the sign. So if they visit you with no warrant tell them to leave and come back with a warrant. Orks are why I installed a gate on my drive, over 800’ from the residence. Posted no trespassing.

  6. That pot-bellied sloppily-dressed slouch was a cop? Yeah, I'd challenge his authority all day long.

  7. I am not a lawyer! Please watch videos by lawyers on YouTube, when confronted by the police, be polite, ask if you are being arrested or detained, if so why, otherwise STFU, do not answer any questions, make any statements.

    1. Um...no.
When they knock on your door, you have no legal obligation to even answer that.
Don't answer, and don't open. Period.
If they have a warrant, they'll announce it, and they're coming in regardless.

If they don't, eventually they get tired of the game, and go away.

  8. Protecting donut funds and 50% retirements is a great incentive to go to the dark side.

  9. Stay off the social media. No body cares what you do, think, eat, or wear. The cops are not your friend is a true fact. The feds care even less. Consider yourself at war and act accordingly. Keep your mouth shut and tell nobody nothing.

  10. One more reason to not be on Facefook or Twatter or Parler or Gab. Bad enough that several three letter agencies monitor sites like this one because "wrong think" creates domestic terrorists or something. I guess they have to justify those multi billion $ budgets somehow. When was the last time we read about any of them catching real terrorists or spies or any of the ne'er-do-wells they're chartered to apprehend and prosecute? They'd rather harass and/or entrap law abiding citizens at zero dark thirty for no fookin' reason. Cavguy is correct. The Orcs are not your friend.

  11. What the hell is this the "thought police". I'll tell ya, it's 1984 in 2021. Took a while, but it got here, didn't it.
I would have told the "detective" if you don't have a warrant, then get off my property, period. I'm a supporter of the police, but not when their authority is mis-used like this.
