From Biden's Statement Three Years After the Parkland Shooting

This Administration will not wait for the next mass shooting to heed that call. We will take action to end our epidemic of gun violence and make our schools and communities safer. Today, I am calling on Congress to enact commonsense gun law reforms, including requiring background checks on all gun sales, banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, and eliminating immunity for gun manufacturers who knowingly put weapons of war on our streets. We owe it to all those we’ve lost and to all those left behind to grieve to make a change. The time to act is now.

  1. Next mass shooting in 3... 2... 1, brought to you by someone on psychotropic meds prescribed by your local .gov sponsored mental health association member psychiatrist. After arrest the perp was heard saying "the voices told me to".

  2. Why do I have a bad feeling that another mass shooting is being teed up to justify the forthcoming Constitutional violations...

  3. He can fuck off...he can "owe whatever the fuck he wants" to those killed. We the People "owe" it to those who died for this Country to take these Traitors out. And take that how ever you want.

  4. In 1990 they passed the federal Gun Free School Zones Act. After that, the school shootings started, but the act was not then rescinded. School shootings too useful to the dems?

  5. As a disproportionate number of black and people of color are getting shot up in our cities...well, duh, they're fuckin shooting themselves...
More just dumb rhetoric, he really didn't say anything different, and nothing's gonna happen...lip servoce, friends, lip service...

  6. Joseph Biden's statement sounds like a declaration of war against "we the people" to *me*. The constitutional republic formerly known as the United States of America is dead, and we have less than a year to take such measures as are appropriate to prevent our new Communist overlords from consolidating their power and purging the rest of us. Reality sucks, but there it is.

  7. I'm with Dano...
You know this is the last straw? The final push? They get the guns, they break out the railcars and re-education centers.

There has NEVER, EVVVVVAAAAARRR been a time when a government disarmed their people, and continued peacefully. Ever! Never! They take the guns, because they are planning on doing something they'd get shot for! These people aren't stupid! They're psychos, but they're not stupid..

  8. 1) I have chopsticks.  What I can do to someone with them you wouldn't want to know.  Are they too an assault weapon?  And dear god, then there's my butterknife.  But have you seen what a woman can do with a cast iron skillet?

    2) If I did have a firearm, is anything other than a single-fire bolt action to be considered a high-capacity magazine?

    3) If some Karen could sue an ammunition company because of a false flag incident by "the company", how long would this industry remain in business?  Or is that the disarming objective?

    4) Are Americans really this piece of wet toast?

    1. My wife lost her eye doctor back in the early 80's when his wife and her girlfriend managed to smash his head flat with a cast iron fry pan. They hit him so hard and so repeatedly they broke the bottom of the pan out.

  10. Biden has no idea what the result would be of trying to undo the 2nd amendment. He's just throwing veggies to the vegetables. (I would have said "red meat" but....you know the deal).

    1. Except for the whole Katrina thing. Plenty of people have always - and still, even after - said that "Gun confiscation is automatic 'Go Time'!!!!!!". Well, it happened, and not one of those people did anything about it.

Sure, there will always be pretty hefty non-obedience to gun laws when people can simply do nothing (i.e., not registering, etc.), but once people actually have to take action? That's much less certain.

    1. We could try outlawing schools and communities - then there could no longer be any shootings there.

So they’re declaring WAR! on the Crips, Bloods, Latin Kings and MS13?
    No? Well fuck ‘em then.
If they don’t want to address the REAL cause of the USA’s “gun violence” problem then there’s another agenda.

  13. You know, not having a lard-ass chickenshit coward trying to put in his time for retirement as School Resource Officer would have gone a long way toward lowering the Parkland body count.

  14. Just how in the fuck am I supposed to run a background check to sell my pistol to my niece, like I did a few months ago? And I live in Michigan, where we have to register the sale of a handgun with the police.
He also wants an "assault weapons" ban. How he plans on banning over 20 million legally owned firearms I am waiting to see. I don't own one, but I always keep a grand or two in a lockbox in my house. I am waiting to buy one off of someone who wants to get rid of theirs for 3-4 hundred bucks. And of course, I would then turn it in to the police, after a trip around Lake Michigan with my friend in his boat.
