The event was part of Penn Carey Law’s thirteenth annual public interest week, dubbed “Reforming the Nation: Working Towards Racial Justice.”
Amanda Runyon — moderator of the panel and Associate Dean and Director of Biddle Law Library (pictured above) — opened the discussion by defining “decolonizing libraries” as “the process of de-centering whiteness and being more inclusive to voices of color and voices representing diverse perspectives.” She encouraged fellow librarians to consider the impact of their “centering of White, Western norms.”
The comments over there are very good.
ReplyDeleteLibs want to go about “Decolonizing the Stacks,” in college. Better idea how about "De-studentize the College".
ReplyDeleteWhy do people like her get to define things.
ReplyDeleteNote to self:
ReplyDeleteNEVER hire a lawyer that graduated from a law school this STUPID!
Ultimately, because they are willing to do it, and because no one else is willing to stop them.
ReplyDeleteHere is a photo of Amanda Runyon. I trust there are no questions.

He seems like a nice fellow... although he could use some time in the gym.
DeleteBammity-bam-bam!
Be sure and tip your wait-staff.
There is a picture of her at the link
DeleteCarpet muncher. Never listen to these mentally disturbed assholes.
DeleteAlmost 100% sure that's a dyke, not a tranny.
Deletego ahead, name one time that the people/government that was burning and banning books was the good guy. I'll wait.
ReplyDeleteApparently, just because history has, without fail, delivered the same message on socialism/communism and the road to tyranny, complete with book burning and changing good and evil definitions ,some people are just determined that THIS time, they have it all figured out. With the absolute
DeleteInYourFace theft of the election and the compliance of the masses to wear those stupid masks the people pulling the strings know they have an unobstructed line to the goal line
Depends on the books...if a bunch of guys went to a tranny story hour at the local library and pulled all the books on transgenderism and homosexuality and set those alight, well, it’s hard to be against that.
DeleteAs Americans, most of us don’t want ideas banned. However we’re also seeing the damage done to a society by allowing/encouraging deviant sexuality, feminism, Marxism, etc. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I don’t see that those things being openly pushed has been a net benefit for society.
I thought it was a joke, Amanda Runyon "pictured above." Search showed, no, that (insert preferred pronoun) is "Amanda." You know you will get fair treatment from her/it. Like meeting a psychiatrist at NLR VA clinic, a woman almost 5 feet tall, crew cut and wearing a man's suit. She looked at me, I looked at her, and suddenly I had another doctor for the first meeting.
ReplyDeleteIt's people like this who are trying very hard to spark a race war. And from watching last night's MSM coverage of the Atlanta shootings, looks like right now Asians are "It". Even though the shooter didn't have an "Asian problem" he had a "sexual problem".
