#7 -- Would someone put some cheese on that HAM? You can tell from the ball's behavior it is a light children's toy. Not something hefty like a basketball.
#2 -- also slightly reduces the risk of shoplifting vs a tiny bottle, also makes handling easier for store cashiers, also makes home shelving simpler since it's easier for homeowners to line up spices in the kitchen cabinet.
If that girl had a single instinct to help others, instead of walking around for a better view, I think she could have grabbed her before she went headfirst.
I watched it a couple more times after reading this comment and totally disagree, there was nothing that the passersby could have done. Further to that, the stupid cow should have been looking where she was going, nobody to blame but herself. Regarding the issue of potential lawsuits, those responsible for the open hatch should have covered the area with warning signs and flashing lights. The idiot would have still fallen in the hole but their arses would have been covered.
