  1. #3 #20. I switched from Pepsi to Coke when the black lies matter protests kicked off. PepsiCo is a big sponsor of the National Felony League. I don't much care for RC Cola, it gives me indigestion. I guess it's time to go caffeine free, maybe soda free.

    1. Skip all that wrong color, sweet taste crap. Go for Vodka, Jeremy. No color, no taste to worry about offending someone.

    2. I pretty much gave up all soda and most beer and fast-food chain restaurants a few years ago, not so much for protest or boycott of them but because they produce such shitty products. I'm slowly but surely quitting high priced trash consumption and feel better and have extra chain my pocket...

    4. Give up soda altogether. It is not healthful.

Coffee, Whiskey and water are all a man needs really, if you count Bourbon as a variety of whiskey

    7. Jimmy Torpedo, he also said "altogether". Plenty of readers here from other countries who don't speak American.

Hoss, agreed, Bogside is in rare form tonight!

    8. What's this less white shit ? I'm white and I've been drinking black coffee and black rum for over 50 years . Maybe I'm just fucked up .

    9. I gave up the sody-pop long ago. Really makes me laugh to watch fat chicks drinking "Diet" Coke, Pepsi, or whatever. Like that high fructose corn syrup is in any way "diet".
Gotta say, the best all-round beverage for the dollar these days is Kentucky Walker Bourbon Whiskey. $15 a 1.75 and that's here in SoCal. Almost as smooth as Jack, but with a kick of its own, and no smack-back aftershot like that damn Jim Beam crap.

  5. Coke just doesn't know how not to kill their brand. First it's "New Coke" in 1985. Now, 35 years latter, it's "how not to be white" training. Somehow they didn't learn their lesson the first time.

    1. New Coke was a misstep, but they pretty quickly recovered and destroyed Pepsi in pretty short order after. It used to be a serious rival to them; not so much anymore.

    2. New Coke was NOT a mistake it was intentional. The price of sugar was steadily increasing due to import tariffs. Coca Cola realized they could make a larger profit by using high fructose corn syrup and the New Coke campaign began. Furthermore, Coca Cola had begun introducing HFCS about a year before the actual campaign started. It was all about economics. If you’re ever in Atlanta, drop by the Coca Cola museum. It used to be near the Underground but it moved.

  7. re: #6. Sorry, this doesn't work because there aren't any cute staff at the restaurants that my other half likes but I dislike.
On ther other hand, we both mess with the servers. To her, there's nothing more amusing than causing an 18yo waiter to tent his pants while he's got a full tray balanced on one shoulder.

  8. #15 My daughter was a cutie. Back in the day she was slinging Pizza for extra cash while in college. She'd be carrying a hot dish and kids running wild. She put more then on on their face with a trip. Assholes with kids. Note, I did not say parents.

    1. Tripping kids running in a restaurant wasn't legal? Hell I was tripping them left and right back in the 1980's. At the time, we liked to eat at this one particular Italian diner and they had booths and tables in the front and a large room for pizza parties in the back.
Every now and then there'd be 6 or 8 families eating pizza and drinking lots of pitchers of beer all in the back room. As soon as the younger kids had their slice of pizza they would kinda lump into two groups and begin chasing each other around the front of the Diner. One night it happened with a big party going on. The kids started in and were getting louder. After the groups passed our booth the third time, I was ready.
The yelling gang was coming right down the aisle and going to pass our booth. Just as they got to our table I jumped into the aisle and yelled stop.
The whole bunch of brats stopped, like they all shit their pants and stood there silent. I told them in a loud voice to get back in the room where their parents were and never come into our room again. They all turned around and walked back into the party room.
Everyone eating in our room stood up and gave me a great applause.
Later the owner came to me and apologized saying that he couldn't do much about the kids because "business". I told him I understood, and I was happy to help out however I could.
After that, tripping or bossing brats became regular habit.

    1. Well - we have a hard loop here. Going to the fortune teller is the problem, and thinking that you can out wit fate. It’s best to take the hand dealt each day and play it as best you can, than think knowing what’s coming will allow you to avoid it.

  13. If CocaCola wants their employees to "be less white", every white employee should show up in black face. They should also tell HR to "be less stupid".
