See? Nobody takes second lieutenants seriously

A second lieutenant in the U.S. Army is suing two Virginia police officers over a traffic stop last December during which the officers drew their guns, pointed them at him and used a slang term to suggest he was facing execution before pepper-spraying him and knocking him to the ground.

Body camera footage shows Caron Nazario, who is Black and Latino, was dressed in uniform with his hands held in the air outside the driver’s side window as he told the armed officers, “I’m honestly afraid to get out.”

  1. They fired the cops. They should take a long hard look at the hiring and training and make some serious changes.
To add emphasis, those two douche bags should be stuck in a cage at the door to the police station for a year.

  2. I read about this yesterday. It was very bad, yelling at him to keep his hands out the window and get out of his car. Kind of hard with a seat belt and a door knob.

    1. And the typical "two cops yelling two different things".

One of you motherfuckers be in charge and the other one shut the fuck up."

Personally, I think those two were just being pissy because they didn't get picked for the SWAT team.

  3. What is the difference between an Army 2nd Lieutenant and an Army PFC?

The PFC has been promoted twice.

  4. Who authorized a 2nd Lieutenant to be out on his own without a sergeant to hold his hand?

  6. I'd consider the possibility that this is staged. Obviously I have no evidence of this, but time will tell. The video looks awfully predictable to me. After the lieutenant gets a multi-million dollar settlement from the city, the lieutenant shares his windfall with the officers, and all three of them get to retire and live happily ever after.

    1. If the officers are dumb enough to set up something like that with him, they're dumb enough to give in to the temptation to start living large. Time will tell, all right.

    1. Yep, wonder how many based their decisions/opinions on the news reports.........

    2. Thanks for link. It's worth watching from before the 980-sec timestamp too. Nowhere in any of that does Nazario look or act in a way consistent with the degree to which he claimed to be scared. Okay, maybe he's just a really cool cat. Or he was deliberately being a dick.

  9. Little Louie 2Lt was picking a fight:

    * driving 1-1/2 miles with the cops in lights & siren mode.
    * playing games with his cellphone camera.
    * running armed but concealing that from the cops
    * refusing to exit the car repeatedly
    * generally being a dickhead

Getting off being pepper sprayed is lucky for him. A more nervous officer would have popped the taser on him.

Our military should thrown this 2Lt back in the pond where he came from, as he is the sort of dickhead who will neither be commander of men nor keep them safe.

    1. he was national guard, not active duty. no combat patch, no deployment. and a goatee while in uniform. he misrepresented himself and he uniform. i watched the three videos with an anti cop eye, but they did everything right. still, one has been fired already. that a-hole lt might get his money, but i hope n pray he'll get kicked out of the service. i work with his superior, i will be showing him the footage, all the footage.

  10. That guy is too stupid to be an officer in any armed forces. Cops carefully escalated the use of force on a nitwit who was to damned stupid to do what the arresting officers ordered him to do. The army doesn't need snowflakes like this at any level.

  11. All you need to see is him setting up the phone and while two police officers have guns drawn, he acts like they're over reacting after chasing him for a mile and a half. His response is "what's going on?" like oh gosh come on you guys. They did at one time give conflicting commands but, he repeatedly refused to obey commands. I think he got the idea from seeing a previous guy who was pulled for speeding and was supposedly smoking dope while driving refuse to leave the vehicle while streaming it live.

  12. Seemed like enough stupid was going around for everyone. The cops seemed overly aggressive for someone who only had a tag/plate they couldn't see and who drove to a well-lit spot before pulling over. (Really, LEO's, our cars don't have flashy lights and all, and there are plenty of spots where people just aren't comfortable pulling over immediately. Especially at night. Doesn't mean we are "fleeing" or "disobeying.") Chill.

But seriously, when they cops tell you to put your hands out the window, to exit the vehicle, etc., don't just sit in your car fiddle-fucking with your phone to make a Youtube video and ask them "What's going on?" You're being arrested, dumbfuck. That's what's going on. Obey their commands, or get tazed or worse.

  13. Driver had enough time to set up a camera and kept looking at it means the show was on and he was the star(victim). Im sure he will be paid well as we are in clownworld!

  15. He didn't immediately get out of the car because he was setting up his phone camera. He sure was pretty chill. The written account that accompanied the video was typical 1 sided reporting. With incidents like what happened just the other day in NM, I do not blame the cops for pulling their weapons when this guy would not exit his car.

And I'm fed up with the general state of LE these days with the way they're blindly enforcing these unConstutitional lockdowns but this time they had a dick on their hands.

The guy arrested was obviously looking for his 15 minutes, he just filed a million dollar lawsuit.
