From my friend that lives around the corner from and personally knows him:
Josh still has not been transferred to DC, so he is still in a county jail in Alabama. Recently he was moved from the quarantine pod to general population.
Thanks to the help and support of fellow Americans, Audrey was able to find and put on retainer a kick ass attorney up in Virginia (translate kick ass attorney in Virginia to – “we charge big bucks”). The attorney was able to convince the court to schedule another bail hearing. It is scheduled for Friday, 9 April at 2:30 in the afternoon. The good news is that it’s scheduled. The bad news is that it is on a Friday afternoon, so even if the results are positive, his release may not happen until the following Monday.
The attorney anticipates that one of the conditions of bail/release will be that the weapons and ammunition are removed from his house. We did that today, and I signed a notarized affidavit saying that I wouldn’t release the guns back to him until his attorney tells me that this is all over. I guess if I wasn’t on any list before this, I surely am now!
Amazingly, the county jail helped Josh with a video call on Sunday, so Josh, Audrey and the kids all got to participate in an Easter Egg Hunt in the back yard.
The fight still ain't over, folks. If you'd like to spend some of that stimulus money and give the government a big ol' Fuck you! at the same time, you can still contribute at the link below.
If hindsight really is 20/20, do you think that if given the chance again, would he go back and do the same thing again, or would he skip it all together?
ReplyDeleteDo what again, exactly?
DeleteFreely travel, be present at a lawful venue. Should Americans curtail their activities because of the Stasi?
Doing the same again, in hindsight, is a big FU to the peckerheads in .gov.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. What ever happened to “Avoid Crowds”? Seem’s like sound advice even today. Friends as me to travel with them for the event, I laughed. They were all indignant and shit then, now aaahhh not so much. Marching and protesting, has one event or several really ever brought true change? True change come at the end of a gun barrel.

You never heard of the civil rights marches?
DeleteOnly fukers with guns was the stasi popo also bearing fire hoses and German shepherds.
Staying holed up like a scared bunny isn't the answer nor is going gunning in the streets.
Violence has only temporary gains. Changing a mind is everlasting.
You should read King's speech when how accepted the Nobel. You might appreciate the perspective and learn something.
Hope the James family is making a list for his friends.
