Bennie ain't real bright

A California man who drove a pickup truck through a Southern California crowd peacefully protesting the death of George Floyd last year pleaded guilty Wednesday to federal firearms crimes.

Benjamin Jong Ren Hung, 28, of San Marino entered pleas to 11 felonies, including conspiracy, transporting and receiving firearms across state lines, making false statements during purchases of firearms, and possession of unregistered firearms.

Pro tip: If you're involved in anything, anything at all, that's illegal, don't draw attention to yourself.

And only break one law at a time. If you are hauling 100 pounds of pot, don't drive 20 mph over the limit.

  2. Ruh roh. A FOUR-name man?

As for what he did, so much for the "high-IQ Asian" stereotype, eh?
Considering Hung [1] is wearing "III" shirt in some photos, he's probably not a Democrat. But it would be great if we could connect him with Leland Yee somehow.

[1] Hung is a great counter-stereotype name for an Asian, BTW. It'd be even funnier if the news story also featured a guy called Treyvarius Smart. But alas you can't always get what you want.
