Black Lives Matter

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — A Tennessee man has been charged with fatally shooting a bystander to an argument — a 55-year old woman who was holding her grandson when she was killed, prosecutors said.

Darrell Peterson, 37, has been indicted on first-degree murder and other charges in the May 2020 death of Patricia Draper Bryant, the Shelby County district attorney’s office said Monday.

  1. A few weeks ago I was in a park in Maui. Surrounded by locals and tourists. There was a black chick standing there. Probably the only black person within a half a mile and she had a tee shirt on saying, Black Lives Matter. I thought, take your shit and peddle it some other place ya fuckin idiot. Talk about feeling special and entitled.

    1. Ironic since as I understand it, Hawaii's population is racially/ethnically very polyglot.

    2. That is true. However, blacks are not favorably looked upon.

    3. Yes, Hawaii's pop is very polyglot. And the natives look down on everyone as scum and not-quite-human.

I'm A little confused. Is it Trump's fault or is this one the gun?

    1. In this case blame is shared equally between Trump and the gun. The black people involved, including the gunman, are victims of a racist society. Feel free to use the preceding statement as fertilizer.

  3. "Investigators said a group of women wielding bats and knives was involved in an altercation in Memphis when two of them began smashing windows at one home."

    There's an image for you.

  5. Welcome to the correctly-named "Mogadishu on the Mississippi". I work in MEM, but live well away from there. Inside the loop around MEM (SR240), ~ 80% of the urban households are single-parent families. You can see that results of that daily on the news...
