I've got two leghorns, one brown and one white. Skittish birds, but I get 5-6 eggs a week from each of them.

ReplyDeleteWe had a White leghorn rooster when I was a kid. That damn thing would suddenly attack out of the blue. My little sister was terrified of him. I don't know how many times I booted him hard as he attacked me. And I wasn't gentle about it. He'd go tumbling, stand up, shake himself off, and then go back to pecking around the yard like nothing happened.
