Brandishing Gun at Home at Intruders, Who Haven't Identified Themselves as Police Officers, Isn't a Crime

From Hanson v. Larimer County Bd. of County Comm'rs, no. 1:20-cv-00317-RBJ, decided Tuesday by Judge R. Brooke Jackson (D. Colo.):

The following facts are derived from the second amended complaint and are assumed to be true solely for the purposes of this order….

  1. Good grief. Sneaking around in the dark to the man's back porch, bot identifying themselves as officers, and then shooting willy-nilly at shadows. They do not pass the smell test to be police officers... lack of self-control, highly emotional, subject to wild swings of imagination... and liar's to boot.

They are the poster children as to why people disrespect, disbelieve and despise cops.

Fire them immediately and never allow them to wear a badge again.

Um... that kind of *is* the smell test to be police officers, these days....

    2. And their actions do not meet the standard for qualified immunity. You gotta be tough if you're stupid. They got burned and it's only just starting.

    1. These boobs may cause me to rethink my opposition to “Defund the Police?”
However, if that happened, then we’d have the “UN Police.”
These clowns would likely be recruited...

Joe, maybe that would wake up the sheep to the real situation we are in.
We are an occupied country by an illegitimate, corrupt government, kept in place by a militarized police force and imprisoned by a communist dept of just us.
The train cars aren't far off at this point. Time for fixing it is passing fast.

  3. Are those two police officers each going to get 22 years in prison for shooting at this innocent man?
And do I, living maybe 25 miles away from the victim, get to riot loot burn and kill?

The victim must have been white, and I am proud that whites don't go berserk because of the behavior of some police officers going berserk.

    1. Unfortunately, our lack of rage is part of what gets us trampled by everyone else. Everyone knows white Christians can be abused without end and they won't do a damn thing about it except complain, which is music to abusers' ears.

  4. Yeah but a couple of years of legal BS and God only knows how much it cost him to finally get a decent ruling.

Too many cops are the bullies in HS who got a badge and get their jollies by “being in charge”.

Dont get me wrong i have a high respect for the thin blue line.

  5. What Bob said above and it sounds like Mr. Hanson is going to be a very rich man.

  8. It's authoritarian actions, double standards, and blatant disregard for the COTUS that I'm on board with defunding the police and replacing them with a militia or force owned and operated by the people.

I'll settle for accountability, removal of qualified immunity, no-knock raids (Hard knock raids as we called them in the 03s), and removal of the double standards. If I walked up to someones porch and shot at them five times then I would be locked away under the prison.

The people going into the police pipeline during their last few months on contract were the thug and bully types that never "got some" over seas, now they want some in America. The rampant corruption and types going in are the reason why I turned down a police career; I knew I wouldn't last a year before being squeezed out for not going along with the abuses.
