Where bad choices make good stories
Arbitrarily changing terms of employment makes the employer a ripe target for legal action. Seeing how the LA County employees are mostly (if not all) unionized, I reckon the union will have something to say about this. I had already read that elsewhere in the nation the labor union rejected the employer's mandate because it was not negotiated with the union.Even if not represented by a union, I reckon any and all employees would have a juicy wrongful termination suit laid in their laps. It will be interesting to see how this proceeds in an At Will state.
