  2. Great ensemble of flip headlights, though they forgot the Buick Reatta, the lil olds doesn't count different lights

  3. I had a Lincoln Towncar, I think it was, that had flip headlights. The problem is, in a Michigan winter, when the snow and ice builds up, they can freeze in place. But they do look cool when you turn your lights on and they open up.

  4. I remember reading about someone stopped at a light. Beside him was a guy in a pickup who let out a mechanical wolf whistle at the blonde in the sportscar across the intersection. She responded by batting her hidden headlights.

  5. I had a '69 Cougar. I got the light covers to work and the sequential taillights to work. 390 with a Holly $800.
Btw, the Opel GT -my friend's dad had one- had a mechanical lever to rotate the lights.
    Cool post.

  6. My first car was a 1970 Ford LTD 2-door w/a 390. Had a nice set of flip lids.

  7. What, no one mentioned how many times you'd see one of these on the road with one light that wouldn't extend or retract?

    1. Just what I was thinking, more things to go wrong. Even if it's built with top quality parts, it's asking for mechanical issues.
