I'd be pissed as hell too

PORTLAND, Ore. — The widow of a decorated World War II veteran thought she was donating his body to science. Instead, she was horrified to learn that her husband’s body was dissected in front of a paying audience at an Oregon hotel last month.

  1. I'm thinking the "Science!" meme from the Thomas Dolby video

  2. If he wanted to profit The Cult of Fauci, what's the problem?

If she didn't think she was profiting The Cult of Fauci, well... thank Goddess for the 19th Amendment.

  3. Well...that's what this administration passes off as science now-a-days.

  4. She shouldn't have been informed. But, this is probably how most donations to science are handled. Bodies for teaching or destructive testing. Place in Tennessee has a fenced section where bodies are just laid out in the open to measure decomposition

    1. There's a big difference between science and people getting their kicks on pay for view which is what that was.

    2. Agree 100% and some folks should be in a lot of trouble - shame they say it is not criminal.

  6. A few years ago, I worked an engineering contract for a joint replacement manufacturer. They used a lot of cadavers for testing and demonstration(to doctors and surgeons). While the client had problems, they were ALWAYS respectful of the remains. Some of the young engineers working for the client in the development of these products thought that the whole thing was a joke, until they were escorted off the company premises by security. Certain minority types were the main culprits, along with some of the H1B types from India.
I was in a conference room(for another meeting) adjacent to one of the demonstrations, and the narrator gave a brief history of the person, without giving out their name. Very solemn, from start to finish.
Thank you, Mr. Saunders, for your service. May the Lord bless and comfort your widow and family.
