Starting Over

I must say that it is a remarkable time to be alive. To watch the destruction of the most powerful nation on earth with little more than a whimper is impressive; depressing, but impressive. Despite citizens being armed to the teeth, with all of the political clout on their side, all of the truth and facts in their corner, they stand in awe of a small criminal minority and tremble. As much as I despise James Comey, at least he had the courage of his convictions to mount a coup, openly engage in treason, stand tall before the congress knowing the penalty could be death and still do it. It doesn't matter how many assurances he had that he wouldn't be convicted or held to account, to do that in the open...well, what I would give for someone dedicated to the republic, in a position such as his, to stand for the constitution and the people of America? Quite a lot.

  1. we are living in interesting times guys.
watch what is going on around you and with our nation. it's not good, and i think that most are just going to bend over and take it. wait and see.

  2. Yes. We mount fierce resistance from our keyboards, and write strong letters, and talk to one another ("They better not start that shit around here, by God...") but that's just yelling over an empty barrel. Nobody wants to be the first to fight, the guy the neighbors call the cops on because he pointed a black rifle at a limo. Without organization there is no reason to have three guns and 1,000 rounds per household, and no reason to rage at the assholes in DC from your porch.

    1. This is entirely true. Its also the fact that no one has a "win" plan.

If some magical Septimus variant killed off the elite , y'all couldn't figure out how to to either sustain a complex society or actually unwind a complex society to a less complex one.

Leave me alone is well and good but it doesn't run nations, states, counties , or cities. And if there is a change in management you had damned well better be ready to fill it.

Otherwise the mask crazed, critical theory Karen's and the Commies will.

As for actual action, this being a public forum I can't and won't suggest illegal actions but if there were a fight, the reason is so hard to get happening is in part the AR15/ Militia mentality.

Armed militias while valuable are defensive mostly and late game otherwise,

90% of action at first and through most troubles is just nasty guerilla stuff often as not one maybe two guys. That carbine will get much less use than say an old .25 of dubious progeny with a homemade can or a blowtorch and pliers or other nasty things

That is an entirely different mindset than militia men, former military or even scrappy rebels have.

And note this isn't "the almighty state." its because of a hyper individualistic society where there is little common ground and subversives and plants galore.

Those traits can and will get fixed in time but at first your are more like Donner, the D.C Guys or Brehvik . Next its like the IRA and than after that? Well maybe Wolverines and Crossing the Delaware.

For now I highly recommend making a What Would I Do if I was in Charge list, its legal and once you understand why you might fight and you can persuade others.

Otherwise you are only limited to defense and watch it collapse . This is fine and I will criticize no one for it old or young but it may have sub-optimum results.

    2. Other stuff is lacking, too. Nobody has set up financing - civil wars cost money, and often enough, the rebels are funded by unsavory types (drug traffickers, etc.) or unsavory methods (bank robberies, looting, drug sales, etc.). Nobody has established any alliances - there have to be supply sources and safe areas.

There's no effective propaganda arm. There's no established shadow government. There's no medical corps, no logistical support, no nothing. The other side already has all of it - it may be half-assed in a lot of cases, but it at least exists.

    3. I don't have a "win" plan as much as a "Balance the ledger" plan.

  3. I'm 70. I want to lend my support but how? I need someone to step up and lead. Hell, my best years are in the rear view mirror. I would lay down my life fighting because FUCK THEM! I live in Florida. Disantis is talking about forming state guard. I would join that if they will have me.

    1. Dang! I thought I wrote this and just forgot! Then I realized, no, I'm 71. Everything else you said applies to me too! ...plus, I'm a vet.

    2. i agree, we need someone to step up and lead, but it won't happen. no one is going to step and face the wrath of the DOJ, lawyers and ambulance chasers who will sue anyone over anything just to make a buck.
it would take someone untraceable with some common sense and a solid plan. i wish it would happen, but i don't see it.
i'm afraid that we are own folks.

    3. if you want to support our country, be active and help in your state and local community.

    5. Learn to be your own leader. Lots of books on the topic and you just fake it to you make it, maybe you are officer material but even a Corporal has some leadership role and NCO's run armies.

One thing older guys can do now safe and legal regardless of age or condition is find reliable younger men hungry for leadership for fathers, be that and get them up to speed. Share you skills and knowledge, learn a few new ones and pass on our national ideals.

Also to remind those who feel helpless if you you know are out of life, you have limitless options . You don't have to take them, it may be unwise and as always I cannot and will not recommend criminal activity but the choice is there.

Freedom after all is having nothing left to lose.

    6. I've thought a lot about this. The choicest targets are well protected these days. Right place, right time. If it were to present itself well...

  4. you know, Kenny; I enjoy reading TL a lot, but I have to say that his website/server/whatever is a piece of shit. I know his webstats counter is important - but not to me. And seeing it every time I click a link to go there, when it should be a simple click, well... that's just too much bullshit for this ol' fucker. Even if you just go to twelveround directly, same b.s. Sad, because he's usually pretty good. But I have no time or patience... there's enough that tries me every day.

  5. Why, even Lee Harvey Oswald could be praised for his fine marksmanship.

Comey was, and is, a world-class asshole.

  6. Somebody once said this when Obama was president...."Never a Lee Harvey around when you need one"....I thought it was dry humor, funny as hell at the time....but now, I'm not so sure....then again, all that would've done is get us Biden sooner....

    1. I wish I knew how to construct one of those Sue Side drone models I could fly into some upper floor conference room windows.

During the Obama years there were Impeach Obama protests that shutdown CA freeways. How hard can it be to shutdown the Interstate network? But the IRS was used to kill off the TEA party and nobody much cared enough to fight back. The IRS could be crippled with a deluge of handwritten returns, but only 40% of people pay Fed taxes so nobody much cares there either.

  7. Affirmative Action has consequences. Fruits of the 19th Amendment. The women have griped about the white male patriarchy for decades and have ended any place men might enjoy camaraderie and communicate among themselves. You'll never pry Fakebook out of their cold, dead hands either.

The men are mostly jock sniffers now, they won't stray too far from their TVs and frigs, there's a big monkeyball game on every weekend. Those are their heroes.

old Chinese saying, "First generation-coolie! Second generation-merchant! Third generation-tycoon! Fourth generation-playboy! Fifth generation-coolie!" The Boomers are the ultimate playboy generation.
