In June 2020, as the country attempted to recover from deadly and destructive riots after the death of George Floyd, a man from Wisconsin hosted a national conference of self-styled “militia” members in a suburban Columbus, Ohio hotel. Stephen Robeson, founder of the Wisconsin chapter of the Three Percenters, an alleged militia group on the FBI’s naughty list, pestered his contacts across the country to participate in the gathering.
People who attended the conference, including two men later charged with federal crimes related to a plot to abduct Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer from her vacation cottage in 2020, observed that the hotel was crawling with federal agents.
One of the feds at the conference was none other than Stephen Robeson himself.
If 3 are gathered as a freedom type group, militia wannabes, then 2 are feds. So why would you go meet people you don't know to talk about anything.

I live in Michigan, and I wish that I could say that this is a shock. But I saw this when it first came out, and the first thought was, that somehow, the feds were behind it, and had somehow insinuated a mole or two into the group, to push them into action. Because while there are some idiots around, usually they are not stupid enough to think up a dumbass plot like this, at least where the FBI is able to get a hand on it before it happens.
ReplyDeleteI am not the criminal type, and have no plans to start a new civil war, but if I wanted to, I certainly would not use the internet to make any plans or to communicate with others about it. Cell phones would also be a no no. It really doesn't take much of a brilliant mind to know how to hide things from snooping federal groups. You cannot even speak out loud anymore. If you are serious about security, you have to be serious completely.
A criminal who has served time, is the last person that I would trust for anything, as they could be pressured by the feds to do things, to save their own ass, or to curry favor. People are better off simply watching and waiting, until they know for sure that the time for action has come. Simply being pissed is not a good enough reason for action. It should be the last resort, just like the revolution in 1776 was the last resort. Then, you know that your cause is a righteous one, and you can go ahead with confidence that you are in the right.
