Oklahoma: New bill to change how rifles are carried in public

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – There is a bill making its way through the Oklahoma State Capitol that would change Oklahoma’s 2019 Open Carry Laws. The author of a new bill says changes are needed in the Oklahoma Self Defense Act to help law enforcement implement gun safety.

  1. I'd be surprised if there were not already anti brandishing laws on the books. This appears to have the intention of avoiding that but I don't know why it would be more applicable regarding cops than anyone else. Seems that it's likely a subtle way to garner support for gun restriction laws in general.

  2. "“You are supposed to carry your rifle in a vertical position, so the barrel is pointing up or down and not pointing at people, we do not, right now, have that in statute,” said Paxton.

Paxton say the bill does not expand or restrict open carry, it just fills in holes."

Seems reasonable as long as crazy amendments aren't attached...

  3. If some moron carrying a horizon rifle point forward walked in a cafe I eat breakfast , the moron most likely be filled with holes before moron was seated. Waitress carries (short tempered bitch with nice Cleveland) as does 60% of customers.
