‘I Just Think Sarah These Days Is Not a Person to Be Taken Seriously’

WASILLA, Alaska — About 70 miles up the road from Sarah Palin’s home on Lake Lucille, there’s a propane, gift and souvenir store set behind a snowbank where Mike Carpenter, the owner, will turn on Newsmax, smoke a Winston White and say this about the state’s celebrity former governor: “One way you might describe Sarah Palin is she knows which bathroom to use.”

When she announced her run for Congress on the April 1 filing deadline, he said to himself, “Thank God.”

    2. Ha. I was coming to say the same thing. You can always tell a left wing rags articles just by reading the speculation, innuendo, and lack of real facts when writing. You can just "feel" the emotions exuded by the article rather than the facts.

    3. All in all I thought it was a pretty good article. And I have to admit that I share the same feelings about Palin that a lot of the Alaskans quoted in the article feel about her.

I'm still bugged about how she looked like a deer in the headlights when Katie Couric asked her that bullshit "Some people say" question. She should have fired back "And who would those people be, Katie?"

But then she was being advised by that POS Steve Schmidt, whose sole purpose was to scuttle her political future and get rich in the process.

    4. Steve Schmidt and that cunt, Nicole Wallace, who of course went on to work for MSNBC.

  2. Gotta love Wal-Mike’s in Trapper Creek! It’s a “must stop” if you’re ever on the Parks Highway.

  4. I think Sarah has a real chance. I would pay money to watch her debate AOC.

  5. She did a lot for the people of Alaska.

  6. The political left always telegraph whom they fear the most by whom they go after the hardest. Thinly-veiled hit pieces like this are a case in point that - despite the passage of years since her place on the GOP as V.P. nominee on John McCain's ticket - she still knows how to rile those lefties up. And without even trying. I'll give the former Alaska governor this: She gets all the "right people" mad....

  7. I fully support her -- primarily to see the river of grooming-LIE-beral tears flowing when she wins!!!!

I would pay money to watch her debase AOC.

    There, fixed it for you.

  10. In her Governorship, she handed big oil their collective asses. The lady is smart, well educated, and grounded in conservative beliefs, and family values, with a strong work ethic. She resigned from the Governor post due to incessant lawsuits from the libtard left, leaving her unable to govern. A real travesty, for her, and the people of Alaska. I hope she trounces her rival, and comes back into politics with a vengeance. And, yeah, she's hot as hell!

  11. I take Sarah over Joe any time!!!!!!
Of course, it is not fair to compare her with a brick.
    My apologies Sarah!

If there are any LIVE debates, I am game.

  12. The story used up a whole lot of words just to knock another not-leftist upside the head. And, those were Alaskans quoted -- What's my political opinion? Which season is it?

  13. I'll admit I voted for Palin McCain. Could that ticket have won?
I remember, seeing Senator Obama on a Sunday show, thinking This Guy Could Beat Hillary.
Which the machine proceeded to allow.
The screams that must have followed in the Clinton campaign after the loss "That N*gg*r beat Me?"
I'm not racist. I honestly don't like their policies.

  14. sarah has a history of taking on corruption in her own party and winning. that's a solid foundation to start from as far as I am concerned.

  15. I waited to post something because this article just seemed to "ramble" on about how the residents liked her but then didn't like her.
As the rest of the posters have stated; it was a per-emptive strike against her by a leftist rag.
Ah,that's why I couldn't understand the basic points of this article.
Yeap, as someone has noted; you can tell the candidate that scares the leftists the most, is the one that gets the flak.

  16. When she quit the governorship I think she lost her credibility. Like so many in the GOP, roll over & don't fight.

  17. She trusted McCain. She fucked up. If she'd run with Trump as his VP and one the country would be in a bit a turmoil as Trump entered his 6th year in office......

  18. It was only after I closed the tab (which was about 2 paragraphs into the story) and started reading these comments did I realize this was a Politico hit piece. So, it appears the Left is a bit worried about her, as well. Good. Fuck 'em, says I.

  19. Sarah Palin -- yes.
Reading about Sarah Palin -- less interested.
    .
The difference -- action vs inaction.
