FREDERICK, Md. - A Maryland husband’s small gesture has paid off in a big way: The $5 scratch-off ticket he bought to cheer up his wife Robyn Mejia was worth $50,000.
Somebody thinks they are $50k closer to buying a house, but if they do, they will get a nasty surprise from Uncle Sam and Aunt Maryland to the tune of about $20k.
