Madison Ave retailers lock doors in daytime amid crime frenzy
New York City’s luxury retail outlook is dim — literally.
Swanky Madison Avenue shops on the Upper East Side are lowering lights, locking doors and opening by appointment only in an effort to combat a relentless scourge of brazen daytime shoplifters terrorizing the glitzy thoroughfare.
This is hardly new news...even though it's taking place more so than ever before...One of my clients in NYC, from 1990-2008 was located on Madison Avenue and 72nd Street and I would walk up there to call on them, past many swank shops that had locked doors with doorbells for entry...and I did spy one black person, once, just sayin...
Back then they had the Schvoogie buzzer systems. If the prospective shopper was the right color (I.e. not black) they would be buzzed in. If not, then no entry. Another type of schvoogie buzzer popular in NYC was a button pushed by an employee to alert all other employees in the store when a black person entered. That way they could keep an eye out for potential shop lifting activities. And guess what, both methods cut shoplifting and robbery loses. https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=schvoogie+button
Hahaha, amazing how a shotgun wielding wymyn at the door could put an end to all of it... alas, NYFC knows better that simply banning guns will stop crime, so, wallow in your own shit you filthy animals!

ReplyDeleteNot only do these establishments vote for the crooked left, they also contribute to their causes and campaigns so cry me a river, NYC.
ReplyDeleteSee that is the thing. It is all fraud. There have been no fair elections for 30 years.
