Oil and gas industry responds to Biden's accusations. They are not impressed

This week, Joe Biden made a big deal out of sending a “warning letter” to U.S. refineries about their supposedly inflated profit margins this year. It was part of his strategy of attempting to blame the oil and gas industry for the high prices everyone is paying for gas, diesel, and heating oil. (At least when he’s not trying to blame Vladimir Putin.) In very short order, two associations representing different elements of the industry got together and sent a letter right back to the President. The American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) joined with the American Petroleum Institute (API) in an effort to patiently explain to the president how the oil and gas industry actually works as well as the challenges they are currently confronting leading to significant supply-side issues. Whether this sinks in or not remains to be seen.

  1. They should have sent a letter thanking him for all he has done to make those profits possible.

      Yes, he is jesting.
And please don't call him Shirley.

I picked a bad decade to quit sniffing glue.

  2. The Oil & Gas trade org. sent a response to Resident Dumbass, yesterday, calling out all of his policy decisions that have led to the rise of oil and consequently gasoline and nat. gas prices.

Somehow Resident Dumbass seems to think that the gaslightling line "it's Putin's price hike" is still believable.

Yesterday's primary results, Trump going 21-1 on endorsements and his record in the previous primaries this year, which were also as heavily skewed as above, should be sending pants shitting shock waves throughout the Demonrat party.

I'm wondering if they're going to try another steal this fall. In one way, I hope they do because this time it'll be patently obvious and should be the final fan of the smouldering fuse.

    1. It'll be obvious, but again nothing will be done about it.

  4. So no big deal that the previous years when big oil lost money due to Biden's policies and the pandemic? As long as we are discussing big business, how about we talk about the gun companies and the fact that they are protected from frivolous lawsuits by people, when the company makes a product, but it is used illegally to kill someone, and the company is protected from a lawsuit. Biden is quick to explain how no other industry in America enjoys that protection. Oh, except he forgot that protection for Big Pharma. Yup, forgot that one, completely. I wonder if it Biden has money invested in any of the pharmaceutical companies like Pelosi and the rest?

    1. One could say the same for the auto industry. So everytime a person is killed by an auto, we should be able to sue the auto company. People kill, not objects. But keep letting criminals suffer little or no penalty for their crime. refuse to close our borders and educate more idiots.

  5. The government makes more off a gallon of gasoline than big oil does.

    2. Thank you.
Government makes more money off of a gallon of gas than everyone who explores for, drills for, transports to refineries, refines, transports to retailers and Raj, who sells to the public, combined.
This is an inconvenient truth for the people in suits who specialize in looking for scapegoats to blame for $7 gasoline.

  6. He should be writing his letter to union pacific train company. But we know biden is cognizant of nothing. His puppeteers are talking. It is also like the judge saying trumps rules at the border must remain. So biden idiots rewrite them and say they are enforcing them. So the democrats just lie and lie some more. The letter was more bad PR for them trying to trash the country.

  7. The entire O&G Industry, Upstream, Midstream and Downstream should have collectively sent back a response of a four letter word. “Nuts!”
