Tennessee waives vehicle registration fees for a year

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WREG)– As many drivers complain about waiting in long lines to get new Tennessee license plates, the state is giving you a small break on registration fees.

Woo-hoo, I'm going to save a whopping 24 bucks per vehicle!
Shit, I pay $96 per vehicle which means I'm kicking down 72 bucks in taxes and other assorted fees when I register my truck and japvan.

  1. Quitcher bitchin' ;-)). You're getting a break. It costs me $135.00 to register my 11 year old Jap SUV, which I drive less than 4000miles/yr and ~$700.00/yr for insurance.

    1. Which is why all the rental cars at the Tampa airport have Sevier County, TN tags. It took me years to puzzle that one out.
