I'll probably always prefer donkeys and mules over horses; higher intelligence, less skittishness and overall far useful animals that can carry packs and equipment. They also seem far more appreciative of scratches (or skritchez) and finer treatment.
Totally mellowed out from having them ears scratched and likely gets a high out of it like dogs do.
if she takes care of the mule like that, well I guessing her man is one happy man most of the time. nice smile too.
