    I like bottle jacks but I must have a half-dozen that just stopped working because the seals went. really frustrating, losing a perfectly good jack just because the ORings wore out. Can't find rebuilding kits anywhere.

      They're a pretty common seal. You can find them at hardware stores. I've replaced a couple.

      McMaster - Carr has any seal you could ever want, ya just need to know how to measure.

    2 stage bottle jacks aren't particularly rare. I've seen them on construction sites and used them for years. Just a couple of weeks ago I bought an 8 ton 2 stage jack.
