An Ohio woman yesterday copped to clobbering a female acquaintance in the face with a 10-pound log of ground beef during a confrontation in the potato chip aisle of a Walmart in suburban Cleveland.
In a deal with prosecutors, Maneka Garner, 27, pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct in connection with her attack last year on a former neighbor. Garner was originally charged with assault.
So, the meat swinger is named Maneka and the receiver is named Precious. I'm guessing this isn't the first time Precious got slapped in the face with a meat log.
I love how the court system just totally stops doing its job. Ma'am, you are charged with assault. No answer... Ma'am, do you understand the charges? No answer.... OK, how about disorderly conduct, will you take that?
THROW THE FUCKING CUNT IN JAIL FOR ASSAULT!! Prosecutor phones it in b/c a disorderly conviction gives him a win but requires no actual work! See, they would have to PROVE assault by going to trial (which takes actual work!) So rather than convict this criminal of the crime, bearing the attendant punishment intended to deter said crime, we give everyone a slap on the wrists and have legions of repeat offenders. Am I the only one seeing the disconnect in our criminal justice system? The people we pay to fight crime, don't, and crime gets worse. Huh. What would happen if, ya know, we ... nevermind.
