Blame Biden for this one

A Mississippi-based company that had become one of the largest furniture businesses in the country laid off nearly its entire workforce via email and text two days before Thanksgiving.

Approximately 2,700 workers, most of whom live in northeast Mississippi, with others in North Carolina and California, lost their jobs in the early hours of Tuesday. The digital announcement was made overnight, while many were sleeping.

Experts speculated that the company's demise could be tied to issues such as inflation, the ongoing situation in Ukraine and high gas prices, according to the Daily Press.

    1. If you still believe the installed imbasil Joe Biden is to blame for the intentional sabotage of America, you are not paying attention. Also, I would argue that an email does not suffice for notice of termination of employment. Sucks for sure though.

  2. the asshole bidet is too stupid to have done any of this himself. it is the evil fucks behind him that are planning on destroying this country. we need to get rid of all of the power mad assholes. maybe drag them out by their hair and shoot them in the head ?
like the assholes in the WEF, they want to be masters and us to be serfs. begging for crumbs. the virus scam was a test. and most people failed. and now they think they can do anything they want too.

  3. Inflation (leading to a loss of sales) I can believe. Ukraine? Puh-leeze. But if they fired their C-suite executives, then something else is going on, internally. Smells bad.

  4. Lane (one of their brands) is high-end furniture and accordingly high-priced. That would not be a deal-breaker unless Clinton and GWBush had not allowed Red China to demolish US businesses such as United Furniture. It is impossible to go into a furniture store these days and buy actual American-made goods (with a few exceptions, of course.)

There may be other reasons contributing to the BK here, but don't be surprised to see more of the same as time goes on.

  7. Not actually knowing the specifics of the company's financials, I would dare to take a guess that they had some sort of loan that came due, and with higher interest rates, they couldn't afford to re-finance it. There are a lot of companies that borrowed way too much money when interest rates were near zero, and as those loans come due, they will be unable to re-finance at the higher interest rates, and will be forced into bankruptcy.

  8. Lane makes mostly "case" goods (wooden furnishings) that are getting killed by imports; lots of upholstered furniuture manufacturing has been re-shored. And I see that Bob Cottam is United's Spokesman. He built the largest environmental services company in the Carolinas in the 90s that subsequently went bust due to over expansion. Wondered what happened to him.
