  1. I have never been a fan of female vocalists. That said I saw live in concert Linda Rhonstead, Dolly Parton, Fleetwood Mac. Don't care for Stevie Nicks but Christie was wonderful. The previous two mentioned sounded like Angels singing.

    2. You got it, Hoss. “Warm Ways” is my favorite. Beats any of Nicks’ stuff any day.

  3. Best band ever ruined by letting the women take over. I liked FM in early years when she was only woman in it.

  4. She was one of the most underappreciated singers ever. I've always thought that she and Allison Krauss have the most beautiful voices of all.

  6. Yeah, Christine McV had a wonderful depth to her voice that WAS the voice of the Mac for years. Stevie Nicks had a hell of a voice too. Till she n Lindsey Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac and she could afford the amounts of blow it took to destroy it. If you can find it give the album 'Buckingham/Nicks a listen.

    1. I second your recommendation of Buckingham/Nicks.
I preferred Christine's voice, Stevie is a little too nasal for my taste, but Stevie did a great job in the above album.

  7. Her voice had a lot of depth and color and I miss her already. Just wondering if she had the clot shot. I think many performers were sorta forced into it in order to perform live.

  8. Her maiden name was Christine Perfect and before she joined Fleetwood Mac she sang the blues. Here she sings the Etta James classic with Chicken Shack.
