.30-40 Krag - still getting it done after 130 years

COLUMBIA, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Maury County man has been found guilty of murder more than two years after another man was killed.

James Boyd now faces up to life in prison for the murder of Ted Honning in 2020.

  1. My father had one, and a 303 British. He used them for hunting deer. If I remember right, the
Krag had a healthy kick to it.

  2. Any word when the Krag goes in sale?

  3. I have an 1898 Springfield. Not my favorite, but the side box allows for reloading with the bolt closed, so no problems if a yote appears during a reload.
Ammo is hard to get thanks to Barry and Joe and if you find it, it will be more than double -06 boomstick feed.

  4. Damn, that's a shame, gettin' kilt with your great-grandpappy's war rifle. Wonder if they're gonna melt it down?

  5. Three rounds from a 30-40 with two of 'em in the head makes a self-defense claim pretty tricky.

  6. I love my 30-40 craig, easy loading rifle, just throw the cartridges at it and they fall into place.

  7. MR. Boyd has family and children that are suffering from this bad situation as well, it’s all around a terrible situation for everyone involved.
