#2). I was a subcontractor at the largest electric utility in Kommiecticut. Back in the 1990's a disgruntled employee was purposely stuffing entire toilet paper rolls into the high pressure high volume toilets located in strategic restrooms over night. When the unsuspecting executive would try to flush away the morning constitutional, they got quite wet and shitty.
Starker here, good call bsb, I immediately thought it was Buffalo. Took a tour of the Sullivan's & sub Croaker, maybe 8 years ago. Before USS Little Rock was there.
It's listing in the picture. I guess this was when the ship developed a bad leak underwater (rusted through the hull?) and settled to the river bottom. It's been repaired.
But a ship listing at the dock reminds me of the 1915 SS Eastland disaster, the worst disaster on the Great Lakes. The excursion steamer Eastland was tied up at dock in Chicago, taking on passengers for a Western Electric company picnic in Indiana when it rolled completely over. 844 dead, mainly trapped between decks. There was nothing wrong with the ship except a top-heavy design, exacerbated by all the lifeboats added after the Titanic sinking.
Don't mean to be all technical and shit, but that's a small irrigation canal. The San Joaquin Valley in California is laced with them. Picture must've been taken in the winter because it's empty, luckily for her. I've seen that happen on more than a few occasions, and I'm going to assume it's because of texting.

ReplyDelete#7 It is amazing how many people ignore that popping sound when turning. Especially Ford trucks. See them all the time when I have to go into Dallas.

ReplyDelete9) A guys car broke down on a NY freeway. The cops pulled up and said all we want is the tires and the battery. He said, it's my car.
ReplyDelete#7 Looks like a 1st generation Tundra lower control arm failure. Great trucks, but aftermarket LCA's are prone to failure.
ReplyDeleteI have a 2008 Tundra with over 290k miles, no issues.
