Illinois Gov. Pritzker FURIOUS as Sheriffs Refuse to Enforce Gun Law

U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker quickly became furious when what appears to be a majority of Prairie State county sheriffs announced they will not enforce the state’s new restrictive gun control law banning so-called “assault weapons” and “high-capacity” magazines.

According to MyStateLine, the new law requires current owners of affected guns to register them with the State Police. It also bans the future sales “of about 100 different semi-automatic pistols, shotguns, and rifles.”

  2. Maybe LEOs realized that it will be up to them to go to the gun owner and ask them to comply with a law they had no hand in creating. Plus their memory of politicians blaming LEOs for not stopping criminals from committing crimes, throwing LEOs under the bus.

Hey Fat-Arse, got a news Flash for you.

Sheriffs are ELECTED, and they are the second-highest official in counties in IL (the Coroner has the authority to arrest the Sheriff)

So what you gonna do about, it Fatso ?

  4. What Pritzker doesn't understand is that the sheriffs are complying with and enforcing the law - the supreme law of the land.

  10. Other than Chicago, most of IL is rural and conservative.

  11. Aren't most sheriffs elected to their position? If yes, then the governor can't force them to enforce an unconstitutional law--unlike an appointed city police chief.

  12. How is this obese fuck going to allege, let alone prove, the sheriff was made aware of a legitimate violation? It’s the Sgt Schultz defense.

  13. His statement makes perfect sense if you remember that he is a mob boss. He doesn’t care that he can’t legally fire the sheriffs. He is reminding the state troopers to be loyal to him or lose their pension. And if he can undercut a sheriff by drumming up charges against him or by supporting a competing candidate, he’ll do that too.

Maybe commies like Pritzker will finally understand HOW FURIOUS WE CITIZENS ARE when they announce they will not enforce our nation's immigration laws in their sanctuary cities and states.

Nah. They'll never get the correlation.

  15. I think they should make Pritzker and everyone who voted for this personally try to enforce it. Put them in the stack. By themselves. That should fix the problem in short order.

  18. These Sheriffs have re-asserted the dignity of the oath they took and deserve our gratitude & respect. Most of all our support. When the time comes be ready to shoulder up with these fine proffessionals.
