“This state statute creates a contradiction,” he said. “Therefore, I have instructed my deputies, if you encounter someone in possession of a pistol with a stabilizing brace during a low-level incidental contact like a traffic stop, traffic collision, or a motorist assist, deputies are not to take any action in regard to enforcement of ATF Final rule 2021R-08f… In other words, if a deputy encounters someone with a pistol equipped with a stabilizing brace, they will take no action against that person unless that person is using the weapon in the commission of a crime.”
That's the way it should be. If someone commits a crime using a firearm, throw the book at him. But the Second Amendment should allow people to "keep and bear arms" for legal purposes.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear. Come on Tennessee sheriffs, step up to the plate and protect the constitution like you took an oath to do.
ReplyDeleteI've taken that oath three times, with all that it implies.
Fuck Joe Biden!
ReplyDeleteLooky here, the article emphasizes the Sheriffs standing against the DOJ rather than standing for the people and for the U.S. Constitution.
ReplyDeleteThat is the same thing with this administration.
DeleteNot something you expect anymore. What with the thin blue line BS we hear these days. Needs a Sheriff that take is oath to the people real serious. Not sure we have any of them around here.
ReplyDeleteNearly every county sheriff in Colorado refused to comply with new Dem gun control laws back in 2013, "high capacity" magazine limits, etc.
