Bay Area education nonprofit Urban Ed Academy wants every student to have a Black male teacher
SAN FRANCISCO -- According to the Stanford Graduate School of Education, only 2% of America's teachers are Black men. However, one Bay Area nonprofit organization aims to change this bleak statistic for the better.
Can they even find enough black males that can speak properly to be teachers? If a black man can speak and do basic things like add and type and such, he can make MUCH more than a teacher makes in industry or other employment.
How about pushing for every black child to have a father. When you get working on that with some success...I'll listen to your next plan. Until then, take care of what really matters. There are just way too many single mothers letting their offspring fun feral, which is one of the biggest reasons why we have a black criminal issue. Black parents would not have to "have the talk" with their children if they first raised them right and taught them to obey the law and lead a decent life. But nope...better to claim whitey and racism as the problem instead. It's so much easier than raising children properly and taking responsibility for what they have brought upon themselves.
Boys have a penis that is there naturally, not created from a piece of thigh flesh, and girls have a vagina along with falopian tubes that produce eggs, as well as boobs that were not stuffed inside a "former" male's chest and made out of silicone. I hope that helped.
So, Blacks are about 13% of the population so Black males are about 6%, making 2% look pretty low. Now factor in criminal records that disqualify them and lack of sufficient education to BE a teacher and we are probably down to the 2% number listed. Also note, they want ever Black student to have at least one male Black teacher during primary education. Not a bad idea as long as the fundamental standards to qualify as a teacher are maintained.
Every SJW White lesbian teacher replaced by a Black man (who is probably straight) is a net positive.
I went to DoD schools growing up and I had a quite a few of black male teachers. All of them were good and a couple were outstanding as were the white and asian teachers. I'm sure this was because the standards for DoD teachers were much higher than any inner city schools. For sure there wasn't a racial quota back then and if a black teacher, or any teacher for that matter, wanted that position, they better be good.
This is excellent. Many black children have no positive males in their lives, instead they have a series of ghetto-rat “daddies”. I sincerely hope this catches on and more men step up to teach … provided it does not devolve into the “hate whitey” mindset.
As long as they're qualified teachers, I don't care what shade their complexion happens to be. When I was in Junior High and High School, half the English and Math teachers were "Coach somethingorother". None were really qualified to teach the subject they were assigned, They were basically support staff for the head football coach and had to do some teaching to stay on staff. Warm bodies with the proper skin tone aren't the problem, finding qualified educators and paying them enough to keep them is the problem.
I went to Ill. State U., we had High Potential Students. Black high schoolers were recruited for a free education, many could barely read or write, one just had to be black. Free housing and spending money. If one flunked out you could try it again. They were coddled, covered and pushed through. Education degrees were given freely. Mike Royko blamed the downstate teachers school that gave away teaching degrees as the downfall of the Chicago Board of Education & Teachers Union. I bring this up because I had just returned from Viet Nam, had a State Scholarship for fees but had to live on less that the HPS got as spending money and no retry.
This sounds like a good idea, and black kids certainly need more father figures in their lives. But, the reasons for this whole shit show just makes my head explode. In fact, it's a HUGE Rabbit hole.
IIRC, Mr. Handy was my third year Spanish teacher in high school. Former motorcycle cop in Oakland. Don't remember any behavior problems in his class Oh, yeah, he was black.
I went back for my Master's degree in 1988. After being a white football student-athlete at the same college, I knew a few people. What shocked me was the program they had in the Education department then. They brought in black male/female students from Louisiana (I was at a mid-western college, POWER 5 conference now) who got to pass go, collect $$ and head straight to their PhD. I liked my classmates, but while I was afforded nothing, they drove new cars, had tuition paid for and housing. It did not suck being a Student-Athlete on scholarship, but at least I earned my way... this started a long time ago but they did not take minimum wage HS teaching jobs, they took over higher education, lower thinking.
yeah, right . like that is ever going to happen. and just what are the black males going to teach them ? rap, drug use or how to play sportsball ?
ReplyDeleteWell the need more black male teachers, otherwise who else will get the white liberal teens pregnant?

ReplyDeleteSounds like a set up for a remake of "To Sir With Love".
