Commentary: After Affirmative Action

The betting odds are that the Supreme Court will soon rule against affirmative action. It is worth asking how we got here, and what we should do about it.

  1. "Officially" it will be ruled unconstitutional, however most majot colleges and universities in anticipation of this ruling have requested that applicants provide a photograph of yourself when applying for admission. They'll get around the ruling that way.
As for the larger part of this - civil service - city HR's will be instructed to pretty much do the same thing. They won't ask for a picture of the applicant, they'll make a mental note of who comes for the interview and go from there. It's time European Americans began building a parallel society from those who despise us.

    1. Segregation by "content of character", voluntary association, disconnect from most institutions, protect yourself from caustic influences.

    2. Parallel society only works if the evil bastards don't have a monopoly on force, the veneer of legitimacy, and control of the levers of power. It's not going to happen because they want/need competent, educated slaves. And actual hard-working folk to produce things for them to steal, of course.

    3. So.......don't produce for them. Have the courage of your convictions and be willing to live with less money. My stated goal is to minimize the taxable income I make, and there are certain clients that I refuse to work for.

  4. A lot of wishful thinking in that piece. The only sane way to overcome the reverse Jim Crow trend will be to wipe out 2/3 or more of the Feral and State bureaucracy.

    1. Yup. Today's gay woke commies won't stand for it. We'd see rioting, some actual turnout at the polls in addition to the fraud, etc. Getting rid of 2/3rds or more of the bureaucracy sounds like a good start, but you can bet it's not going to happen without bloodshed.

    1. Unintended consequence: if the court strikes down AA, it means another Democrat in the White House and majorities in the House and Senate, just like overturning Roe V. Wade energized Democrats in '22.

    2. First, Roe V Wade wasn't 'overturned'.

Do you have proof that that decision energized the socialists sufficiently to put pedo into the office?

Because there is a huge body of evidence which shows how the kiddie diddler got in and not by votes.

81 million votes, most popular ever. C'mon, Jack. Not a joke.

    3. Overturning Roe had a lot (most?) of the Dems pissed off, but I think that the reason it was such a hot election issue was that several RINOs, instead of correctly stating that Dobbs held that abortion regulation was a State issue, introduced Federal legislation to restrict / limit abortion by Federal law.
Dobbs had already held that a Federal law was an unconstitutional arrogation of State power by the FedGov, so the only purpose the proposed legislation had was to support Mitch McConnell to become Minority Leader, by losing the 2022 elections, even beyond the margin of fraud.

  6. Once again, a leftist "journalist" presents the 1964 Civil Rights Act as a liberal idea and equates it with Affirmative Action, then in the same breath implies that conservative white men were responsible for Jim Crow. And once again, that's backward. Affirmative Action is a direct violation of the Civil Rights Act, a law that was written and passed by conservative white men and Jim Crow was a liberal democrat creation, along with segregation and the KKK. Leftists like to adopt basic tenets of conservatism, couch them in liberal terms and attempt to pass them off as somehow being leftist ideals all along. It's somewhat tiresome but at the same time dangerous.

You do realize that more Democrats in both the House and the Senate voted for this tyrannical law?

"Jim Crow was a liberal democrat creation, along with segregation and the KKK."
Now you are just showing your extreme ignorance of history. Southern Democrats in the late 1800s were not "liberals" except in the classical sense of the term. Now the Republicans did start as a big war, big government, anti-American progressive party. They haven't changed a bit since and sadly the Democrats joined them. Pssst, you also need to remember, the United States was founded by liberals. The conservatives fought for the King then ran away to Canada.

"Affirmative Action is a direct violation of the Civil Rights Act, a law that was written and passed by conservative white men"

That "direct violation" was imposed by a not white, not conservative. Who was deliberately appointed by conservative white men. To do... "conservative"(?), "white"(?), even "american"(?) things? And after proving intent, by the regulations created, was kept in that appointed position. The regulations being granted the most holy rule of law. By the conservatives that wrote, that passed, the Civil Rights Act. Instead of (both) being swept away. Because (both) were not what the conservatives intended?

      That's your story?

  8. yup. back when I was working at the VA, I had a LOT of vets ask me how in the hell did I get hired ? and trying to put a claim in there, in philly. well, if you where not black. you better
have all of your medical records, pictures and god only knows what else.
most white guys got told no many times so often, they gave up.
kind of like when the brother gets E-5 before you do, even when you do do and have the same job ?
back in the 1970's I was told by a few companies they would hire me in a heartbeat if I was black. and then people wonder why little things like the water and electric do not work like they used too ?

  9. The problem with an equity hire is that person is there for 15-20 years getting promoted. Those promotions spread their incompetence to a bigger area as they manage more people. In Texas Ann Richards was a democrat govenor from 91 to 95. We have not recovered from those four years of equity hires.

  11. About damn time. If you want to find actual systemic racism, you need look no further than affirmative action. With actual just and fair admissions processes, our top colleges would be about 98% Asian. Mostly Chinese American, but a lot of Japanese and Korean too. It's a culture thing, they put a HUGE importance on education AND certification thereof. It's a holdover from earlier times when a peasant's only hope of improvement was doing well on the Imperial Exams, from what I hear.

It's even worse now under communism China, where doing well on the admissions exams and getting into a top university (as opposed to the local one) is prestigious enough that people implant radios to cheat. No, I'm not making that up, it's actually happened more than once, and who knows how many times it didn't get detected? Because it's literally the difference between planting rice for the rest of your life and hoping with each harvest that your kids don't starve, and a good paying job in the city, with climbing the "loyal party member ladder" to actual power and security for your kids.

  12. We MUST deduct all disparate outcomes of Affirmative Action and deduct it from any "Reparations." So, we're even now.
