Once is bad enough, but twice?

A continuing care home in suburban Des Moines, Iowa, has been fined $10,000 after a funeral home discovered a woman sent to it in a body bag was still alive.

NEW YORK - An 82-year-old woman pronounced dead at a Long Island nursing home was discovered to be breathing after she was taken to a funeral home, officials said.

  1. The funeral association instruction manual says: Tag 'em & bag 'em. Nowhere does it say they had to be dead.
