Dear National Rifle Association, You Are So Dumb! ~ Signed Montana

Montana – The NRA just sent out a political alert that contained this line about Montana: “Montana House to Vote on Concealed Carry Permit Reciprocity.”

News Flash. The Montana Shooting Sports Association successfully pushed a bill in 1993 that I wrote to give Montana permit reciprocity. That Montana law was improved in 1995 with another bill I wrote. Because of that success, Montana recognizes all other state permits, and Montana permits are honored by 34 other states. Plus, Montana is now permitless for both open and concealed carry, so we even let people from New York and California carry here.

  1. Makes sense why they are just now announcing it. After all the years the NRA has spent defending and coddling Wayne, they didn't have the time to get news out on time.

  2. Dem politicians sometimes make outlandish proposals to push anti-gun bills, knowing full well that the bill, if it ever made it into law, would last perhaps 7 days before a federal judge entered an injunction. Doing so allows Libs to request contributions to help them "fight the fight." When it fails, they say, "Well, we tried our best." Yet, they never seem to return the money that was left over, much less to account for how much was spent in the fight.

Gun rights groups are notorious for this, too. Every time some nut job legislator introduces a plainly unconstitutional anti-gun bill, I seem to get an email asking me to join the fight. A friend sent me an email just this morning concerning Biden's latest attempt to restrict access to firearms. He was worried that Biden will ban ALL guns next--AS IF he could. Sure, Biden will do what he can, but ban all guns without a constitutional amendment? Give me a break.

When Libs rail against the 2nd Amendment online, I sometimes respond, "Want to get rid of the 2nd Amendment? Fine. Just get 2/3 of each house of Congress and 3/4 of the states. Good luck. Knock yourself out. I'll wait.

With the Bruen decision, and the cases that followed, gun rights will be very secure until two or three conservative Supreme Court justices are replaced with liberals, and not just any liberals, who want to overturn the Bruen precedent, and that won't happen anytime soon.

Gun rights need to be defended every day, but that doesn't mean that I won't recognize simple partisand fundraising and manipulation for what it is.

  3. It's just the NRA fishing for dollars. Again.

I have a feature on my Comcast package that incoming phone calls are identified on the TV screen, which means you know when someone is attempting to scam you. We got a call today that was identified as coming from 'NRA7', originating from my own area code (yeah, right). What a pleasure it was to ignore that call.

A message is never left by my scammers. Apparently, they want to talk to a warm body with a checkbook or credit card. Screw 'em.

What a legacy Wayne La Pierre has left behind. He has turned a former money-making machine into an organization that former supporters won't even answer the phone for.
    Good going, Wayne.
    Go, GOA!

  4. When President Trump was elected and the RINOs had the majority in both chambers, the NRA didn't push National Reciprocity. Last time they got even a dime from me.

  5. The NRA, what a great gun control group.

  6. How and why does anyone still support that organization?
