Montgomery Co. sheriff stops releasing mugshots, TBI investigates daughter

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — The daughter of the Montgomery County sheriff is being investigated by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) for alleged child abuse.

TBI said they are investigating Sarah Fuson, daughter of Sherriff John S. Fuson, due to a reported case of suspected child abuse at a daycare center in Montgomery County where she works.

Amid the investigation, Montgomery County Sherriff John S. Fuson announced Tuesday that he will stop publishing mugshots due to every person having a "fundamental right to a fair and impartial trial."
