A nonprofit environmental group is trying to stop the Forest Service from dropping retardant into water. They argue that under the Clean Water Act, it is illegal to drop pollutants into water without a permit. According to them, the retardant has lead to fish kills and other contamination.

"We want forests but we don't want you to prevent fires with healthy forest management, and we also don't want you to put fires out. We also don't have another solution."
Either drop the environmentalists on the fires, or let California burn.
ReplyDeleteCalifornia burning for $400 Alex.

Embrace the power of "and".
DeleteEmbrace the idea of Both.
Delete"C. All of the above."
DeleteWould be interesting to see if the CCP is behind this movement.
ReplyDeleteWwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSigned: harvard educated scientist.
How about both!
ReplyDeleteTake a deep breath and let the forest burn (except for the towns), Mother nature will take of her own....
ReplyDeleteThe water couldn't wind up any worse than East Palestine, Ohio
ReplyDeleteYou underestimate the power of government.

ReplyDeleteAmen, WC, Amen! Californians can't even get out of their way. Now we have Governor Greasy Hair doing his Redstate Tour trying to show the Red States how to govern.
ReplyDeleteFrom Katy Grimes latest California Globe article-
Delete"Watch out Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and West Virginia – Gavin Newsom will soon be visiting your state and wagging his social equity finger at you."
Instead of dropping retardant, drop lefty retards.
ReplyDelete60% water, each.
DeleteBad idea. Most of them are so fat they'd feed the fire.
DeleteThe non-profit organization suing the USFS is Forest Service Employees for Environmental Ethics. 25 years ago they were fighting the Forest Service in an attempt to end what was left of their timber sale program. They're nothing but a bunch of self-righteous Leftists that would prefer we all live in caves.
ReplyDeleteThe executive director of the organization who filed this lawsuit is Andy Stahl. While Andy prefers to see forests burn as opposed to being logged he lives in a 4000 square foot log home in the woods of Oregon.
Preservationists may be hypocrites but at least they're consistent.
P.S. This suit was filed in Montana. If successful if would stop the use of Phos-Chek in all 50 states. That's why the California folks have standing.
DeleteThe next thing these clowns would do would be to ban the use of 'Super Scooper' air tankers and heavy lift helicopters, claiming that their taking water from lakes to fight fires is a violation of the Waters of the United States Act.
The Left really does want to see it all burn down.
Change my mind.
They didn't use the "Retardant is known to cause cancer in the state of California" excuse like they do with everything else?
ReplyDelete- WDS
You wanna stop this shit? Next time there is a wildfire in Cali, ask for a meeting to determine the use of retardant, I'm positive that there will be many who will show up. Ask for a show of interest of those that want to forgo the use of retardant. Chain them together about a mile in front of the fire and see how long it takes them to call for an air drop. There are no athiests on the battlefield.
