What does it say about the state of our freedoms that there are now more pencil-pushing, bureaucratic (non-military) government agents armed with weapons than U.S. Marines?
Among the agencies being supplied with night-vision equipment, body armor, hollow-point bullets, shotguns, drones, assault rifles and LP gas cannons are the IRS, Smithsonian, U.S. Mint, Health and Human Services, FDA, Small Business Administration, Social Security Administration, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Education Department, Energy Department, Bureau of Engraving and Printing and an assortment of public universities.

I wonder how many guns those mooks have already lost.
ReplyDeleteTo be more specific, WHERE are they storing these goodies?
ReplyDeleteAsking for a friend....
You might look through their house or car, just saying.
DeleteOh look, more 'weapons of war'. Non-military service carrying assault weapons of assault.
ReplyDeleteThere's your civilian force more armed than the military.
A friend of mine, who is a lawyer for the IRS, had trouble getting a New Jersey full carry pistol permit because he was not a jeweler, pharmacist, or in another occupation that is vulnerable to getting robbed. One day, about 10 years ago, the IRS gave him a 10mm, and his IRS badge is his permit to carry. He said that he has absolutely no need for a pistol while working because he sits at a computer all day writing legal papers, but if the IRS in its generosity gave him a pistol and lots of free ammo to shoot, he’ll take it.
ReplyDeletebut they want me to give them mine ?
ReplyDeleteI have to agree. Disarm the IRS. If there are criminal charges involved, contact local sheriff's, state police, or other law enforcement offices for aid in enforcement. Serve a warrant, don't send a SWAT. Its a tax bill.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure most of these agencies should have a contract with the local "rent a cop" company for facility security, beyond that..meh. Funny the "education department" gets its own storm troopers but everyone gets the vapors at the idea of arming teachers.

ReplyDeleteThings like this make it easier to justify budget cuts, but the ATF will never see one.

Of course the IRS has more hollow point bullets (which, if ever fired in anger will be at American citizens) than the marines. The military isn't allowed hollow points...dating back to before the Geneva convention.
ReplyDeleteHague Convention of 1899. Of which the US is not actually a signatory. " (IV,3): Declaration concerning the Prohibition of the Use of Bullets which can Easily Expand or Change their Form inside the Human Body such as Bullets with a Hard Covering which does not Completely Cover the Core, or containing Indentations
DeleteThis declaration states that, in any war between signatory powers, the parties will abstain from using "bullets which expand or flatten easily in the human body". This directly banned soft-point bullets (which had a partial metal jacket and an exposed tip) and "cross-tipped" bullets (which had a cross-shaped incision in their tip to aid in expansion, nicknamed "dum dums" from the Dum Dum Arsenal in India). It was ratified by all major powers, except the United States.[15] "

The govt war machine (not military or police) taking up arms against it's own citizens is part of the reason I left North America.
ReplyDeleteGood luck brothers, your rights are almost gone now.
I'm tempted to go to the Czech republic once I use up my benefits. A satellite campus has a Czech language course.

The number of weapons and rounds sounds pretty impressive. But that "fact" is a distraction. The number to focus on is the number of armed bureaucrats: crunch the numbers. What's the ratio of these funds to armed Americans. And... what's the quality of these so called swat teams?
ReplyDelete"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
ReplyDelete"Just as well funded" meaning just as well armed.
Barack Obama, on 02-JUL-2008
...and with Bribem recently announcing the hiring of 77000 NEW Eye Arrgh Ess agents, in addition to the 78000+/- that it already employed, rolling that number into the rest of the already armed federal agents at various three letter agencies, including the Dept. of Education, you've got Obozo's wet dream in reality, a couple million strong.
What does that mean? A target rich environment. I still like our odds.

Are there any politicians in opposition to what the US govt. does? I can't hear any of them using the words "cutback", or "deport", or "RIF". But the people will still turn out in droves to vote for their "side".
ReplyDeleteJust a thought. Is there any connection between all of this firepower for institutions employing folks who don't look like warriors, and the demographics of the folks coming across the southern border ? I've they are mostly young military aged males Any connections to be drawn there?.
ReplyDelete"Refugees bring their wives and children. "Invaders" do not.
Deleteall those bullets are in the CIA's hands just the way the Gov sneaks around and arms the terrorist that are coming across the border to overthrow the US.
