Senators look to ban kids under 13 from social media in bipartisan bill

Senators will soon introduce legislation to set a minimum age for children to use social media, according to a report.

  1. Good luck with that. Until social media has a better method of age verification than "are you over check yes or no" - the kids will just lie. Laws to hold back the tide with a slotted spoon never turn out well.

    1. No No No. Just like criminals who will obey gun laws, children will too.

  2. and put an infrared "spyeye" in every child's bedroom to assure the person(pervert) watching that the child doesn't touch him(her)self in some area considered inapproprate

  7. The problem with this sort of legislation is that the honest, law-abiding citizens will follow the rules … and just like so-called “gun control,” the criminals will not.

  9. OMFG! What will the little darlings do without the Tik Tok challenges and getting instructions on how to gender transition?

    1. The "little darlings" (seriously creepy phrasing there, in context) are under 13, genius. If they're "getting instructions" on mutilating themselves, it's from school and parents, especially. But I'm sure somewhere in your mind this was a rhetorical killshot. (As opposed to what it actually was: a comment that makes you sound like a creepy guy who hates prepubescent kids)

    2. Lighten up. It was sarcasm in case you couldn't tell.
BTW, I'm not real fond of kids myself, I don't care how old they are.
