Oh jeez...

Two children were fatally struck by a car on Sunday after running into traffic on a freeway in San Diego County, California, authorities said.

The driver of a green GMC Yukon going eastbound on state Route 78 pulled over to the right shoulder of the freeway in Vista, and a 10-year-old boy and 16-year-old girl went on foot into traffic, according to a press release from the California Highway Patrol. Vista fire officials told ABC station KABC that a mother was traveling with her children when a piece of luggage flew off their car and the two children ran into traffic to retrieve it.

  2. The driver sent her KIDS into traffic to retrieve luggage ? Kids are small and in an environment of constant motion, can be easily lost in background, especially if driver's are distracted or tired.

    Prayers for the affected.

  4. The video was really weird. The ppl who stopped to help were distraught, and the mom was just totally unconcerned. She got upset when they arrested her, but no interest at all in her dead kids.

    1. that's what addiction does to a person. I'm conflicted on what the sentence for this crime should be - the judge is going to have a tough time with this one.
