Commentary: The Solution to Pandemic Learning Loss Is Less Schooling, Not More

The latest data dump from the Nation’s Report Card reveals declining academic performance among US students. As with previous releases showing the same trend, especially over the past three years, the solution proposed by many education reformers and advocates is to double-down on the amount of schooling and school-like activities students get.

    'Educators' always wanting to reinvent the wheel. So many problems created by them.

    I say just get on with it; teach righty tighty, lefty loosey, and square yourself to your work. And demonstrate how to use a shovel. That's it.

    The next pandemic may require masks and blindfolds to be worn.

    The state of public education in this country has been in steady decline since Jimma Carter pushed through the bill that created the federal Department of Education. Any time the feds get involved in anything disaster awaits.

    Remember one of Ronnie Raygun's famous quotes: "I'm from the government and I'm here to help". Read that as FUBAR.
