Fighting a fire with two buckets and no shoes. Got to give them credit for trying, but that's not much of a fire department even for an African village.
6 is on purpose, it was built to support the arch, then knocked out before the mortar dried to be able to reuse the bricks...the romans used soil, but it is the same idea. The rest of the brickwork is unfortunately not much better though.
Starker here, #6 Wasn't a finished job. Someone was closing in an arch. There is a steel lintel. However the lintel was not let into the columns nor does it have it's own column of brick. That post was all that was holding that side. They are either the Bricker's kids or cheap help, who will be hurting in the near future. As a teen I wanted to learn trades. I spent one summer with a mason. It's rough honest work.
#5: I lol'd.
ReplyDeleteWhere is she that the surface broke? On a dock? And, #7. WTF?

ReplyDelete#2 Filmed on the streets of Baltimore!
ReplyDelete#6- was he trying to build an arch, and succeeded? Looked like he was just knocking out the bracing.
ReplyDelete#1: I admire their optimism, but question their intelligence.
ReplyDelete#5: If you're doing this and you're out of elementary school, it's a bit weird. To me at least.
#6: Somebody's been building back better!
#9: That looked painful. Could have been a lot worse.
#3 - Why did they stop? It even looks like they backed up a little. If they had continued on, or the read guy swung to the curb, might have made it.
