Sergei Lavrov says Russia has privately warned the US, Britain and France of the dire risks of the planned move to give Kyiv the advanced warplanes.
He implied that the use of F-16 - for which Ukrainian pilots are now being trained - could lead to Putin unleashing tactical nuclear weapons.

Some people will not be happy until the US is in direct ground combat with the Russians. I say "Draft the college kids and the twinks first".
ReplyDeleteWe could also see how much feminists really believe in equality when they’re drafted.
DeleteRay Ban Joe might be onto something. Since John, Al and Greta tell us we're all gonna die over time of global warming so maybe instant nuclar obliteration is a better option.
ReplyDeleteFor equity sake Joe will sell them a few for Ten Percent.
ReplyDeleteHey Putin, you don't have the balls to nuke DC. Pussy! Sissy! ghon on I fkkin double dog dare you!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of hilariously brutal irony would it be if an ex-kgb agent saved America from communism?
DeleteBut PLEASE make sure Congress is in session and the Biden's are at home.
DeleteYou can't make someone into a piano player by giving them a Steinway and Sons Concert Grand Piano and you can't make someone into an F-16 Pilot by giving them an F-16. The biggest danger the Ukranian Air Force will face will be themselves trying to fly fighters that they are years away from being ready for. This whole thing is just a show.
ReplyDeleteGo ahead pooty pitooty, skin that smoke wagon. See what happens, Dumbass.
ReplyDeleteYou're no more liable to launch nukes against Ukraine or any other European nation because you know that the whole world including Russia and its present and former eastern European allies, in their entirety will end up as a burnt out charcoal briquette. Nice legacy that would be.
It wouldn't surprise me to see China join that fray. They've had eyes on your vast natural resources since forever and would be only too happy to see your demise so they could march in and take over without firing much of a shot.
Stop making stupid empty threats. You sound more and more like Kim Jong Un every day that you're losing the war in Ukraine in spectacular fashion.
Kinda too bad the Wagner Brigade didn't end your ass and return some sanity to governance in Russia.
Nemo
lol - Russia is losing? CNN much?
DeleteHere's what Lavrov said:
ReplyDelete'We have informed the nuclear powers, the United States, Britain and France, that Russia cannot ignore the ability of these aircraft to carry nuclear weapons.
'No amount of assurances will help here.'
The plain meaning of those words doesn't stretch as far as an "implied" threat by Russia togo pre-emptively nuclear.
I search, and do not find any statement by Lavrov, Medvedev, Gerasimov, Putin, or anybody else speaking for Russia, threatening pre-emtive Russian nuke strikes.
Mike G.
Name a plane we have flying that can't haul nukes. Yes, the falcon does a lot of fighter-bomber duty, but it's a wimp compared to the Eagle and many of the other NATO fighters.
DeleteAt this point I am just looking forward to the SMOD. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteRight now, China is doing the, “let’s you and him fight” as the west and Russia both deplete our militaries and what little stockpiles we had. Meanwhile, China prepares for war, has the world’s largest navy, and watches patiently with glee.
ReplyDeleteA few well placed small nukes and....whoops!.....the navies are back to even.....
DeleteThe ,"president" has activated the IRR.
ReplyDeleteOnce full scale chaos breaks out in Moscow/eastern Europe/all of Europe, Peking will, in no particular order, grab Vladivostok, everything east of the Amur River, and maybe the Trans-Siberian Railroad east of Lake Baikal. If they're feeling brave (or very stupid) they might make a play for Sakhalin Island. The Japanese might object to that.
ReplyDeleteOf course, now that the official US policy is that Taiwan's independence is not "our concern" that will be on the menu as well.
