In the memo announcing new guidelines for Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Texas and Utah workers, the fast food chain pointed to “the importance of customer service and the ability to show our Associates’ smiles and other facial features while considering the health and well-being of all individuals.”

Their staff are mostly young people (not at risk) and in a noisy environment your customers NEED to be able to see the counter-person's lips. Lots of us have hearing loss so lip reading comes in to play. If we can't see their lips they need to speak loudly and clearly, which just makes the noise level worse.
ReplyDeleteBravo for In-n-Out for setting a reasonable standard, and 'accidentally' weeding out any snowflakes who are still masked up for no reason except habit and fear.
I still see some assholes in masks when I go to the supermarket. They usually consist of three types. One is middle aged, ugly, single women with short permed hair. Others are really old fart husband and wives shuffling around hanging on the carts for dear life. The third are the young babes looking at the latest sext message on their iPhones lined up at the Starbucks counter. Interestingly I never see 20 something bearded, tattooed constructing guys wearing the M-95s
ReplyDeleteJust to add; unless they're working in a dusty or high-allergenic environment that warrants wearing a dust mask.

No comment from the Fauci mansion.
ReplyDeleteLet's not do something crazy. Science has not spoken yet.
Did In-N-Out Burger require workers to wear masks in those states during the plandemic?
ReplyDeleteIf so, it was in compliance with asinine government BS.
DeleteBest way to spot the insane.
ReplyDeleteIs everyone here that is against masking food preparers also against hair nets?
ReplyDeleteMASKS DON'T WORK. Hairnets are proven to keep hair out of food.
DeleteNot remotely the same thing. Hair nets have been around for generations and serve an identifiable purpose.
DeleteI'd rather eat someone's hair than their spit. Masks DO keep droplets from leaving your mouth as you talk - why do you think surgeons wear them?
Deletebogsidebunny- We still have people here in Honolulu driving (usually BMWs, Audis, Testicles & Mercedes) alone, with masks. Some folks are running in wide open parks with masks. Crazy...
ReplyDeleteI've said it before. If they have a cold, or a sniffle, I'd prefer they wear a mask while handling my food. Hard enough to get em to wash their hands after a shit.
ReplyDeleteThis is about the front line folks who interface with the public. And I would have more concerns over how disgusting masks get with being touched over and over, etc. and having that disgusting thing over my food.
