#8. A local contractor tore down a garage just down the alley from me. He asked if he could leave the truck loaded with debris in my yard overnight. Three weeks later it's still there. I offer to take it to the landfill for him. He says yes and tells me where the keys are. When I turned off the highway onto the landfill drive, there was a three inch drop. As the back wheels went down, the truck slowly rolled over on its side. I had time to shut off the motor and lock the parking brake. The left side was piled with concrete and heavy stuff. The right side was very light, just some loose boards and wood shingles.
back in the 1980's I made the mistake of showing some guys how to use/load/shovel stuff into a barrel mixer. little did I know then that the guy took down my name to "TDY" my ass into helping them later. never made that mistake again. spent 2 month down south with them. fun times, no. another one of those heart and mind trips in some shithole country. dad ran a concrete crew and using a barrel mixer was one of the easier jobs. dave in pa.
#7: That's not gonna be a cheap fix, and unless things have changed in recent years wiring people tend to be pretty booked up. At least the competent ones do.
#8 - the amount of flex in the frame rails of that semi-tractor is absolutely astonishing. I would’ve expected the frame of that truck to be MUCH more rigid than what we just saw in the video. I thought trucks were stronger than that.
#5 is why I absolutely refuse to use a glossy tile on a floor that could have happened with wet shoes if it had been raining. Textures on floors always. I live by function over fashion or find someone else. Lawsuit coming.
The guy making the cut needs to tell the ground man how many wraps to take either around the trunk or a porta wrap device. Ill bet he had the rope wrapped around his hand as well other wise it would have just smoked his palms.Amateurs. Klaus
I keep hearing Benny Hill theme music. Great ones.
ReplyDelete#7: Why is my innernets not working? LMAO.

And gravity is telling the driver he needs to go on a diet.
DeleteGood thing the tree guy had all of his safety gear on.
ReplyDelete#7 - We had a building contractor do that once at an EDA firm I worked at. Apparently some sort of miscommunication, but of course nobody was happy.
