Lessons I Learned From Thomas Sowell’s Memoir

Thomas Sowell, now 93 years old, is one of the most esteemed and prolific authors and social commentators today. Trained as an economist at Harvard and the University of Chicago, he has written more than thirty books, and from 1991 to 2016, he had a nationally syndicated column.

  1. I always thought that they should create a governmental post called "National Wise Man", exclusively for Dr. Sowell. I remember watching an old video of him debating Massachusetts's welfare chief. He absolutely took the woman's argument to pieces, with a smile on his face and a calm reasoned tone of voice.

  3. Thanks for posting this. I was unaware of this book. I read Sowell's columns for many years. I've read many of his books. I've cited him heavily in my academic work. He's one of the best thinkers of our time.

  4. Id'a liked to have seen a Tag-Team performance with stable Conservative Tom Sowell & off-the-wall Liberal George Carlin doing some HBO specials
