And that's the end of that program

NEW YORK - An unknown number of students fell ill after being exposed to rabies.

The Pets for Purpose program at the Summit School in Nyack allows students to learn about how to care for animals and build self-confidence when tending to them.

  1. A "MILF" program would build self-confidence also. STD's easier to cure.

  2. what idiot brought in unvaccinated animals for kids to play with and the cost of treating potential rabies can cost up to $10,000/person.

    1. The article said the kittens were medically cleared, so there were no ill intentions, just poor reading comprehension.

  3. As long as there were no breaks in the skin, the kids should be fine with or without vaccination. When I go hiking in Harriman State Park, there are posted signs to watch out for rabid skunks. Someone in the hiking group always [illegally] brings a .22 onto the trails just in case, but we've never encountered one.

  4. During COVID, I came in contact with a rabies infected cat while hiking. The piece of shit health department was closed because it was just "too dangerous" for their nurses to see people. I had to end up at the ER 4 times. Between vaccine shots and immunoglobulin, the total bill was over $22,000!!
