good job ! And it even has brakes-- something we left off when doing something like this as a kid "back when". But that open chain drive would be a concern -- its right where a pant leg could catch in it when moving your foot from the front footrest to the brake pedal.
Genius.
ReplyDeleteWe had one of those. Colman water coolers in green
ReplyDeleteSo did we! I think it is still in mom's garage.
DeleteThe bell is a nice touch

I like the brakes!
ReplyDeleteI had one of those.....My dad threw a rototiller engine down and a chain and sprocket and a clutch and said "Have at it".
ReplyDeleteI had the shop to work in, and it happened. I think I was 12.
Took me about 2 weeks. learned a lot
No brakes either, and it eat my pants before I got smart enough to roll 'em up.
1975, Dad brought home an Indian 50cc bike. Then he put training wheels on it, because I was 4.
ReplyDeleteI don't see wheelie bars. It would need them.
ReplyDeleteStarker was here.
I think that ‘brake’ lever is connected to the throttle.
ReplyDeleteThat's because it IS the throttle
DeleteLove it except for the chain being out in the open. Kid will be nicknamed 'stumpy' soon.
